About Love Where You Live
Love Where You Live is Keep Britain Tidy's new
national anti-littering campaign. The charity is working with
some of the world's biggest - and most littered - brands (including
McDonald's, Wrigley and Imperial Tobacco), government, local
authorities, voluntary organisations, schools and communities to
take action to tackle the problems of litter, dog fouling,
fly-tipping and graffiti that can blight the places we
love.
The campaign aims to inspire,
encourage and enable people to make where they live, work
and play the kind of place they really want it to be. It's
about making a difference, whether as individuals, groups,
local authorities or companies.
Over the next three years Love
Where You Live plans to win the hearts and minds of
some three million people and 3,000 organisations in
order to reduce the amount of litter in England by 2020.
Love Where You Live is being
backed by Keep Britain Tidy's celebrity ambassador and TV
personality Kirstie Allsopp, who helped to launch the campaign in
Parliament in June 2011 together with Secretary of State for the
Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Caroline
Spelman MP.
This website includes details of
hundreds of organised events from across England that have
been posted on the site by individuals, community groups,
companies, voluntary sector organisations, local authorities and
many more.

Talking Bins
To inject some fun into bins and the nation's behaviour around
littering, on 13 October 2011 Love Where You Live began a two-month
Talking Bins project. Innovative bins that 'talk' when litter is
placed in them are being sited initially in London and Liverpool.
Full details can be found on our Talking Bins pages.
