Love Where You Live is all about individuals, not institutions.
It's about taking personal responsibility and not waiting for
someone else to get things done. It's DIY for society!
You don't have to be part of an organisation or group to take
part and there's plenty you can do on your own and in your own
time.
The campaign's Six Principles provide the basis for
individual action and act as a practical, everyday guide to making
your neighbourhood somewhere you can really be proud of. Just by
acting on these principles and leading by example you can make a
major contribution to the Love Where You Live campaign.
Want to do more? Is there a place near you that you really love
that's in need of a bit of TLC? Add it to the
website and tell us all about it. You can upload pictures and
video too.
Want to volunteer to take part in a Love Where You Live event
near you? Go ahead, we'd love to have you on board.
Can't find an event near you? Why not organise one and invite
friends and the local community to take part?
Just as importantly, why not join in with the Love Where You
Live conversation through Facebook and Twitter -
it's a great way to get inspired and share ideas for clean-ups,
litter picks and the many other things you can do to show some love
to where you live.
